Consists of a letter dated 2 September 1850 to James Hall and an undated letter to Lady Frederick Bentinck. In the letter to Hall, Rogers discusses a Life of Sir Walter Scott that he has been reading, especially the section describing Scott's life at the time he was writing Waverley (alternate title: 'Tis sixty years since).
